A Neopit man who allegedly foot stomped the head and neck of a woman he was living with was indicted Oct. 23 in federal court with two counts of assault and one count of burglary.
Court documents alleged that Nee Gee J. Cloud, 31, rendered the woman unconscious by stomping on her head and neck, punching her repeatedly on the head, kicking her torso and slamming her head onto the floor. The woman was hospitalized for a month for the Sept. 20 incident to treat her lacerations and facial fractures.
The homeowner of the residence received remote notifications from his home security system and asked a neighbor to go to the house and see what was going on. As the notifications continued, the homeowner viewed the surveillance system and saw Cloud violently assaulting the woman, identified as O.W. The woman and Cloud were in a relationship and lived at the residence with the homeowner.
The neighbor knocked on the door but couldn’t contact Cloud. He then called 911. Menominee Tribal Police arrived and found Cloud outside the residence. He tried to flee inside but was subdued with a Taser. Cloud was taken into custody.
Inside the residence, police found blood in the kitchen area. O.W. was laying unresponsive in a pool of blood in the bedroom. O.W. was airlifted to a Wausau hospital where, according to medical staff and relatives, she remains unconscious and breathes only with the assistance of a ventilator.
The homeowner emailed authorities videos from his home security system that show Cloud kicking in the front door and looking for O.W. who was hiding in a bedroom closet.
Minutes later, Cloud was recorded exiting the bedroom and walking to the kitchen sink with blood on his hands.
O.W. appeared to be lying face down in the bedroom. Cloud allegedly washed his hands and face, then returned to the bedroom where he stomped on O.W’s upper torso and head.
As Cloud walked into the bedroom he said, ” … no one gives a (expletive deleted) about you” before and while stomping on O.W. Cloud again returned to the kitchen to wash blood off his hands and shoes, according to the complaint.
Back in the bedroom, Cloud picked up O.W. by the hair and punched her with his other hand, according to the complaint. Cloud continued to punch her in the head while she laid on the floor.
After another trip to the kitchen to wash blood off his lower chest and arm, Cloud went back to the bedroom and kicked O.W. in the stomach and slammed her head onto the floor, according to the complaint.
Someone was heard yelling from outside for Cloud to open the door, according to the complaint. Cloud walked outside with blood on his arms and engaged with officers when they arrived.
Asked if O.W. was alive, Cloud answered that she was. Cloud ran toward the front door but was overtaken by officers who deploy a Taser on him before he is restrained and taken into custody.
Cloud was formally arrested Sept. 24, was ordered into federal detention the next day and arraigned Oct. 23.
Cloud faces maximum penalties of 20 years in prison if convicted of assault with the intent to commit murder, and 10 years each for burglary and domestic assault by a habitual offender convictions.
