Pam Leigh Jensen, of Kronenwetter, formerly of Shawano, lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024. Pam died in her home surrounded by her family and her beloved pets.
She was born Pam Leigh Teckam on June 25, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska. Pam was the daughter of Marian (Foreman) Teckam of Shawano and the late Harven Teckam. Pam was united in marriage to the love of her life, Allen Lee Jensen, on July 9, 2007.
Pam is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clara (Weisnicht-Foreman) and Clarence Peterson; her husband, Allen Lee Jensen; her brother, Timothy J. Teckam; brother-in-law, Leonard Jensen; and her uncle, James Foreman.
Pam is survived by her mother, Marian Teckam; her daughter, Heather Zahringer; and her brothers, Thomas Teckam and John (Kelly) Beaulieu; her aunt and uncle, Lynn and Eugene Cebulski; her cousins, Jeff (Barb), Eugene (Jane), Mark and Gary (Amy) Cebulski, and James Foreman; her nieces and nephews, Jason (Becky) Teckam, Carrie Fields, Jake (Julie) Beaulieu, Kathy (Corey) Rusch and Lindsey (James) Jones; as well as grand-nieces and -nephews.
Pam is also survived by several great-grandnieces and -nephews, including a very special one that she had the joy of caring for, Royal Ward.
In addition to her family, Pam had many friends in the Wausau and Shawano areas. She was especially close to John and Lynnae Zahringer, Ben and Kelsey Elsner, Randi and Dave Drace, Jonathon Keiser, Cody Moss and Jesse Dahlke.
Pam worked as a CNA for much of her adult life. She worked in facilities in southern Wisconsin as well as those more local, primarily caring for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
She was very involved in Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in the nursery. Pam loved to sew, cook and can pickles, applesauce and jam. Pam worked on small projects for her daughter’s special education classroom. She was also an avid animal lover, having rescued many pets over the years. She loved chow chows and stray cats. Pam liked to travel. She enjoyed accompanying her late husband in his semi. Pam spoke often of spending her childhood on her grandparents’ farm on Old Shawano Road.
Pam loved her family and friends deeply and was known for helping those who could not help themselves.
A memorial service lead by Pastor Joe Carlson will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 6601 Alderson St., Schofield, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024.
