Shawano Health Services earns national quality award

Shawano Health Services has been recognized as a 2024 Silver Achievement in Quality Award recipient by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to further improve the lives of residents and staff in long-term care. Jessica Hammons, executive director at Shawano Health Services, noted that the award validates the staff’s hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence in the services they provide. “It is not just a recognition of past achievements but also a motivation for us to continue striving for excellence and to innovate further in order to better serve our community and the family within our center,” she said. “It is an honor to work alongside the staff at Shawano Health Services, as each member has played a vital role in our success.” The National Quality Award Program has three progressive levels of Bronze, Silver and Gold. “Earning the silver award is no small feat, and Shawano Health Services has demonstrated exceptional commitment to quality improvement,” said Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award board chair. “This recognition is a clear reflection of their hard work and unwavering focus on delivering superior care and service to residents and staff.” The National Quality Awards will be presented during Delivering Solutions 24, the AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo, Oct. 6-9, in Orlando, Florida.
