Emil Pecanas, 72, of Mountain, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Emil was born on March 21, 1952, to the late Emil and Sara (Corso) Pecanas. He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School. In 1972, Emil married Mary Brynjulfson.
Emil began his working career as a laborer and then became a mason. He was well known for his masonry skills amongst his coworkers and friends. Emil loved gambling and fishing. He also liked to keep himself busy as a handyman and making things. Emil had recently started making metal sculptures with propane tanks.
Emil is survived by his four children, Suann (Aaron), Diana (Paul), Laurie (Mike) and Michael (Mary Rose); five grandchildren, Heather, Jonathan, Allen, Julia (Anthony) and Austin; 11 great-grandchildren, Michael Jr., Cassuis, Hailey Bo, Liam, Ayva, Ayden, Bently, Ridlee, Wyatt, Hudson and Ella; sister, Barb (Terry); sisters-in-law, Nancy, Leone, Linda C., Bonnie and Linda L.; and brothers-in-law, Terry (Mary) and Jerry (Carrie). Emil is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Emil was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; two children, Emil Pecanas III and Emil Pecanas IV; grandchild, Michelle Ann; brother, Dane; sister-in-law, Margaret Mae; brothers-in-law, Gary (Lynn), Lenny and Butch; and mother- and father-in-law, Leonard and Mae Brynjulfson.
A celebration of life will be held for Emil at a later date.
