Patricia Donlea “Pat” Green, 70, of Gresham, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022. Pat was born on Dec. 7, 1952, to the late Gerald B. and Ellen M. (Donlea) Green in Elgin, Illinois.
My sister Pat was a kind, caring, and highly intelligent woman. She was an artist and horticulturalist in her own right. She was in touch with the cycles of nature, especially the night sky. She knew when every meteor shower would occur and where to find it in the sky. She knew most constellations and the names of the stars in them, as well as the movement of the planets and phases of the moon.
She was thrilled by the birds and creatures that would appear near her house. She was interested in and observant of their habits. We enjoyed many of these things together. She was strong and independent. She gave me support when I needed it. She is my sister and my friend. I love her. She is greatly missed.
Pat is survived by her sisters, Mary (Michael) Connolly and Katharine (Robert Brennan) Green. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ellen, and a brother, William (Louise) Green.
