Carl Arthur Williams was born March 11, 1940, in the Town of Bartelme. He passed away Oct. 4, 2022, at the Veterans Home in King after an extended fight against cancer.
He was cremated and there will be a celebration of his life at the American Legion Post 431 in Three Lakes at 2 p.m. Oct. 22. Be sure to wear your best trucker hat to honor Carl’s memory with his family and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Carl Grant Williams; mother, Marcella Rose Minnie Malueg Williams; stepmother, Marjorie Williams; and his sister, Judy Loken.
He is survived by his two daughters, Aislinn Williams (Pat Purdy) and Maranda Williams; his ex-wife, Linda Williams (née Horton); his sisters, Pat Davidson, Judi Dankmeyer, Joanne Johnston, Sue Reil, Lori Ory (Dan), Wendy Williams, Linda Williams; and brothers, Wayne Singer, Greg Williams (Gail), Steve Kalamen (Nikki).
Carl graduated from Shawano High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1964. After completing his service, he moved to Milwaukee, and eventually relocated to Three Lakes, where he operated numerous businesses, charities and started his family. His last bar was The Warehouse, on Gogebic Street. He was a lover of nature, animals and his community in the great Northwoods.
