Larry J. Woodke, 66, of Gillett, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022. Larry was born in Shawano on Nov. 19, 1955, to the late Robert and Mary (Jarock). Larry graduated from Gillett High School with the Class of 1974. Larry married Connie Chaltry on Sept. 15, 1995, at Bethel Lutheran Church.
He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his boys and hunting and fishing trips to Wyoming and Canada. Larry also enjoyed his hobby farm, where he raised pigs, chickens and steers. Most Friday nights you could find Larry and Connie at Club 32, where they enjoyed a fish fry.
Larry is survived by his wife, Connie; his three sons, Ryan (Kylie), Brett (Alaina) and Tyler (Rebecca), and their mother, Kathy; four brothers, Robert Jr. (Molly), Chuck (Jodie), David (Sue) and John (Susan); his sister, Kristin; eight grandchildren, Palmer, Kroy, Taylor, Bentley, Kaelyn, Eli, Audriena and Darla; and his faithful companion, Gunner. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m.
