Myrtle Marcella Schutt, 89, of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Green Bay. Myrtle was born in Cecil on July 6, 1925, the daughter of the late William and Lenora (Rueckert) Wilke. On July 2, 1941, in Shawano, Myrtle was united in marriage to Ervin A. Schutt. Ervin preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1996. Together they lived in Shawano, where she worked at Martin Cleaners for 17 years. She lived in Milwaukee and has been a resident of Pulaski since 1982. Myrtle was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pulaski. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and other arts and crafts.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Karen (Dennis “Skip”) Skalitzky, of Pulaski; two grandchildren, Denise (Ronald) Smurawa and Dennis “Buck” (Amy) Skalitzky; and two great-grandchildren, Jacklyn (Dustin) Adams and Michael Smurawa. She is further survived by two brothers, Harley Wilke, of South Milwaukee, and Gerald Wilke, of Oshkosh.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ervin, their daughter, Sally, and one brother and six sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at St John Lutheran Church in Pulaski with the Rev. Larry Yaw officiating with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
