Mary A. Langhoff

Mary A. Langhoff, 72, of Gillett, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Mary was born on Aug. 21, 1949, to the late Harvey and Rosalie (VanCaster) Bahrke. She graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1967. On Sept. 9, 1967, Mary married Kenneth Langhoff at St. Michael Catholic Church in Suring. The couple lived in Gillett and Oconto Falls before Ken joined the Air Force in 1969. After moving around to various states including Illinois and Alaska, Mary and Ken moved back to Wisconsin in 1988. While in Oconto Falls, Mary worked at Martins Drug Store. She was a passionate reader and worked as a library assistant in Oconto Falls before retiring from the Suring Area Public Library in 2012. Mary also enjoyed gardening and traveling, taking memorable trips to Alaska and Turkey. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Gillett. Mary is survived by her husband, Ken; a son, Paul (Kristen) Langhoff; two granddaughters, Lily and Lacie; four brothers, Ferdinand (Kim) Bahrke, Louis (Mary) Bahrke, Greg Bahrke, and Jeff (Kathy) Bahrke; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 4 p.m. until the prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at St. John Catholic Church in Gillett from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Francis Dias officiating. Mary will be interred at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
