Mark Roy Dittmann

Mark Roy Dittmann, 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Shawano. Mark was born Nov. 26, 1950, in Shawano, to the late Oscar and Dorothy (Bahrke) Dittmann. On March 6, 2004, he was united in marriage to Lana Ann Laabs at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Mark loved classic cars, especially his 1929 Model T, 1955 Handyman Wagon and 1992 Chevy truck. He was a member of Thornton Trail Riders and the Minnesota Street Rod Association. Mark was a sweet man who was kind to everyone and loved making people laugh; his smile would light up a room. He enjoyed hotrods, racing, car shows and driving his UTV. Mark liked listening to music, especially Vic Ferrari, and going to music in the park on Thursday evenings. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Mark is survived by his wife, Lana Ann Dittmann; stepchildren, Michael (Amber) Schmidt and Megan (Matthew) Vomastic; grandchildren, Kasey, Miranda, Mason and Jason; a brother, Richard (Sue) Dittmann; a brother-in-law, Darwin Laabs; special pets, Gabi, Pepper and Gigi. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Dorothy; a brother in infancy; and many beloved pets. A memorial service for Mark will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
