Library has stuff to beat holiday insanity

To the editor: November brings the start of the holiday season and all the hustle and bustle that it includes. The Shawano City-County library can be your break from the crazies. Stop on in for a hot cup of coffee or tea. Relax and read a newspaper or magazine or check out a good book. If you love the holiday rush, come and see us on Black Friday for some special deals and steals. Our door buster deal from 8-10 a.m. is 50 percent off fines. Our early bird special from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. is free replacement cards. Starting at 11 a.m. we will be offering a free soup lunch. Additionally we will be offering free coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day. Looking for a gift for a book lover? Check out our BOGO used book sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will have many gently used books to look through. Kids can make a Rudolph gift bag in the children’s department and teens can use the Wii to play games or sign up for the not-so-summer reading program.
