John grew up in Abrams and attended Oconto Falls Public Schools.
While living in Abrams, John was involved in the Machickanee Players, where he developed his passion for acting. His acting career included spending a couple of seasons with a major LORT theater, touring with some regional theaters for a couple of years, as well as touring nationally, regionally and locally. He settled in Milwaukee and later called Chicago his home. John spent several years involved with the Bristol Renaissance Fair, where everyone grew to love his character, Ha’Penny.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Linda Walski.
John will always be remembered for his passion and infectious smile. He was a selfless man who was always willing to lend a hand, a Twizzler or a free hug.
Private family services will be held in the spring of the year.
