Jane L. Schenkoski

Jane L. Schenkoski, 77, of Gillett, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 28, 2025, surrounded by family. Jane was born Nov. 23, 1947, in Oconto Falls to the late Olaf and Louise (Wendt) Pederson. She graduated from Bonduel High School in 1965. After high school, Jane worked at Pulaski Shoe Factory for several years. She later worked at two bakeries, which she loved, and as a waitress at Club 32 for 21½ years. Jane was also a bookkeeper at Zippel Construction until she retired. On Sept. 11, 1982, she married Allen Schenkoski. She was a member of St. John Riverside Lutheran Church in Gillett. Jane loved baking, canning and helping out at church wherever was needed until her illness took over. Jane is survived by her husband, Allen; daughter, Stachia (Ryan) Desterheft; granddaughter, Payton Desterheft, who was her pride and joy; brother, Lowell (Deanna) Pederson; brothers-in-law, Gary (Laura) Schenkoski and Pete (Chris) Schenkoski. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, JoAnn (John) Liesner and Darlene Berg; nephew, David Berg; father- and mother-in-law, Bennie and Florence Schenkoski; brother-in-law, Gaylord Schenkoski. Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at St. John Riverside Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating.
