James “Jim” M. Kohn, 84, of Shawano, formerly of Cecil, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. Jim was born on Nov. 5, 1929, to the late Emil and Grace (Buelow) Kohn.
On Jan. 1, 1982, Jim married Patricia Bocik. He was a long-time truck driver, long distance hauls. The road was his life. For many years Jim owned and operated the Prairie Schooner Restaurant in Cecil.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Kohn, of Shawano; his children, James (Claudia) Kohn Jr., Kathleen (Kenneth) Dich; stepchildren, Jeff (Vicky) Bocik, of Hortonville, Kim (Jim) Parker, of Dunedin, Florida, Sally (Steven) Stewart, of Los Angles, California; four grandchildren, Erin Berkhahn, Jamie Radloff, Ryan Stewart, Nicholas Bocik.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steven J. Kohn.
At Jim’s request there will be no service.
Zastrow Funeral Home in Cecil is assisting the family.
