William E. Wurth

William “Bill” Eugene Wurth, 80, of Clintonville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville. William was born Oct. 16, 1944, in Lincoln, Illinois, son to the late Frederick and Ruth (Bohm) Wurth. He attended Blackhawk Central High School in Davenport , Iowa, and graduated with the class of 1964. Bill held many jobs over the years, including owning and operating his own business called Bill’s Shoe Repair in Clintonville. He enjoyed his truck driving days with his best friend, Rick Yeager, eventually retiring in 2009. Bill married his first wife, Linda, and the couple had three beautiful children and later divorced. He met Debra Lorge (nee Stueck) in 1997; the couple later married on March 5, 1999. He welcomed her four children with open arms. He loved horses and horseback riding, motorcycle rides, hunting, and his old westerns. In his later years, he enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels, and spending free time with his grandchildren. William is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Debra; daughter, Kimberly (Pete) Hager; sons, Joseph (Vicki) Wurth and Mark (Dawn) Rambo; and his bonus children, Jackie (Scott) Spieth, Shannon (special friend Brian) Lorge, Austin (Brittany) Lorge and Amanda (Bart) Van Straten. He was a super-loving grandpa, “Big PeeWee” and “Papa” Bill, to Brandon (Alyssa) Wurth, “Little PeeWee” Codi (special friend Katie) Schoneck, Sterling, Lauren, Dillon Van Straten and Bentley, Cameron Lorge; and great-grandpa to, Ainslee Wurth, Hunter Rambo and Shiloh Castro. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and his best friend, Rick (Joann) Yeager. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter and namesake, Billie Jean Wurth; sisters, Minnie Asenbrenner and Melody Wurth; and sister-in-law, Karen Wurth. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, South Location, 299 S. Main St., Clintonville, WI 54929. The Rev. Diana Ziegler will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from noon until the time of service.
