Violet O. (Gueths) Kreklow, 88, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in Shawano. Born and baptized on July 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie (Zimdars) Gueths.
Violet was confirmed June 11, 1939, at the Stony Hill St. Paul Lutheran Church by Pastor E.H. Berfiend. On Sept. 29, 1962, she was united in marriage to Melvin “Mike” Kreklow at Stony Hill St. Paul Lutheran Church by Pastor Clausen. Violet was employed for 49 years in retail sales.
Violet is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Linda Kreklow, of Tigerton; her granddaughters, Bethany Lee and Mary Lynn Kreklow, both at home; her sister, DeLila Clark, of Shawano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Judy.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; her parents; her brother, Arnold “Arnie” Gueths; and her sister, Delia, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
