A Veterans Day program will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in the Suring High School gym, and all veterans and their spouses are invited to attend.
Each veteran will be recognized. Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria following the program.
The speaker will be retired Rear Adm. Arnold Lotring, who served as a naval education and training command chief operating officer.
Patriotic music will be performed by the elementary students, high school band and a combined high school and community choir. Community choir practice will take place at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, Tuesday, Nov. 4, and Thursday, Nov. 6, in the high school choir room.
The veteran’s 12th annual appreciation spaghetti dinner will take place from 3-7 p.m. at the Red Maple Golf Course. The cost is $6, with veterans admitted free. Reservations are appreciated but not required.
