Suring woman dies from traffic injuries

A Kelly Lake woman has died of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash Sept. 16 at the Brown-Oconto county line. Kathleen A. Ryan, 81, was driving south on U.S. Highway 41-141 at about 9:19 a.m. when her car began to swerve across lanes, entering the median at least twice before striking the cable barrier and spinning, according to an Oconto County Sheriff’s Department traffic report. The investigating deputy was unable to speak to her, but first responders said she admitted to dozing off at the wheel. Ryan was transported to HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay but died of her injuries Sept. 21.
