Suring 69, Lena 55
Suring surged in the second half as the Eagles overtook Lena 69-55 in the Marinette & Oconto Conference matchup.
Suring was led by Michael Bailey’s 21 points. Taylor Booth Stoffregen scored 15, and Parker Haak chipped in another 14.
Mason Spice led Lena with 22 points, and Tyler Shallow scored 13.
Lena led 26-24 at halftime, but Suring won the second half 45-29 to claim victory.
Suring improved to 3-6 in conference action, while Lena dropped to 2-7.
West De Pere 70, Shawano 44
West De Pere showed why it’s at the top of the Bay Conference with a 70-44 win over Shawano.
The Hawks trailed 42-21 at halftime and couldn’t catch up to the Phantoms.
Will Verkuilen led the Hawks with 14 points, while Logan Sipple scored 13.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 64, Shiocton 62
Shiocton’s one-point lead at halftime couldn’t hold up against Wittenberg-Birnamwood as the Chargers returned home with a 64-62 win.
Jett Rogowski led Wittenberg-Birnamwood with 26 points, followed by Zandyr Barke with 17 and Jaden Clark with 11. Hayden Miller score six, and Eddie Nowinsky had the team’s other four points.
The Chargers are 8-1 in the Central Wisconsin East Conference and 12-2 overall.
