Northeast Wisconsin Technical College will offer a new initiative for students beginning in summer 2014 called Focused Fast Track. Focused Fast Track courses allow students to complete one course at a time, which enables them to concentrate on one subject.
Focused Fast Track courses are homework friendly, meaning most assignments are done during class time with minimal work required outside of class. Courses are not limited to general studies courses; students can take many program-specific courses in this format.
Most Focused Fast Track courses are scheduled during the evenings for 15 three-hour sessions on Monday through Thursday. Other Focused Fast Track courses are scheduled on Saturdays, meeting every other week for an entire day. Because the courses are scheduled throughout the semester, students have a greater selection of courses to choose from when they need to pick up a late-start course.
Focused Fast Track courses are offered throughout the NWTC district via video conference to classroom settings in Marinette, Sturgeon Bay, Niagara, Crivitz, Oconto Falls, Luxemburg and Shawano. The courses are open to students of all ages.
