ST Paper contributes funds for kennels

ST Paper recently donated $5,000 to the Oconto Area Humane Society to provide the materials needed to replace its outdoor kennels. The kennels, which had been in place since the shelter opened in 2005, had become worn. Despite frequent repairs, dogs were injuring themselves on the loose edges of the chainlink fence. The kennels are a necessary part of shelter operations. Not only do they allow the dogs access to the outdoors, a change of scenery and some fresh air, but they also are necessary for the OAHS to meet state guidelines for an operational animal shelter. Numerous volunteers braved the cold November weather to install the kennels.
