Shawano wrestlers have rough day in Bay Port

Shawano’s boys wrestlers competed in Bay Port on Dec. 14 in one of its largest tournaments of the year. “It was a tough day of wrestling with many great wrestlers at this tournament,” coach Mike Homan said. There were 32 teams competing at the tournament. Bright spots for the Hawks included a 12th-place finish by Kian Morstad, Kody Popelka placed 13th, and Austin Stickney placed 14th. After a Dec. 19 match in West De Pere, Shawano will host multiple schools at this weekend’s Holiday Classic.
