For the first time in school history, Bonduel’s volleyball team will be part of the state tournament.
The Bears won the right to compete at the Resch Center in Green Bay with a 3-0 sweep of Cedar Grove-Belgium for the sectional championship in Brillion.
“The win tonight was a total team effort,” coach Abby Krull said. “The trust they had in themselves and each other to go out and play fearlessly and aggressively was so fun to watch. I am so happy for the girls and excited they get the opportunity to represent Bonduel at the state volleyball tournament.”
Set scores were 25-11, 28-26, and 25-23. Bonduel started out really strong in the first set, taking an early lead and winning convincingly. Sets two and three were a very close, back-and-forth battle the whole way. Bonduel’s balance offensively was a key to the match.
