Shawano beats Menasha, Lena crushes Wausaukee

Feb. 13 Shawano 52, Menasha 38 Menasha jumped out to an early 8-2 lead, but the Hawks turned the tempo up and had a 30-10 lead at halftime. The second was back and forth with the Hawks winning 52-38. Shawano improved to 8-2 in the Bay Conference and 16-4 overall Gillett 50, Coleman 32 The Tigers pounced on Coleman jumping out to a 24-10 halftime lead and then cruising to a 50-32 win. Aubrey Pate scored 24 points for Gillett, which improved to 10-4 in the M&O Conference and 17-4 overall. Lena 69, Wausaukee 8 Eleven Lena girls scored as the Wildcats crushed Wausaukee 69-8 in an M&O Conference game. With a 46-6 lead at halftime, Lena then outscored Wausaukee 23-2 after the intermission. Madilyn Thomson led Lena with 16 points, as Hannah Thomson added 13 and Kali Fischer scored 10. Madilyn Thomson had eight of the team’s 22 rebounds and six of the Wildcats’ 23 assists. Fischer posted five of the team’s 23 steals. Lena improved to 13-1 in conference and 19-2 overall.
