Several Shawano Community High School athletes have been named to various Bay Conference all-conference teams for their efforts fall sports.
Boys cross country
Sophomore Josiah Kuehl, who competed in the state tournament, was named to the second team. Senior Trevor Schwartz was honorable mention.
Girls cross country
The entire girls team advanced to the state tournament. First team honors were awarded to junior Bailey Hendricks, senior Adalyn Barkley and junior Maci Beyer.
Named to the second team were freshman Mikelah Powers and junior Anabelle Schroeder.
Tennis
Rachael Carroll earned second team honors for her singles play.
Football
On the offensive side of the ball, sophomore wide receiver Austin Heling and senior running back Jerzy Brocker were named to the second team.
Senior tight end Alex Zierden earned honorable mention status.
On defense, Brocker was a unanimous selection for first team as a defensive back and as punter.
Junior Chase Katchenago was named as a second team defensive lineman, and senior Parker Beyer was honorable mention as a defensive back.
Soccer
Four Hawks were named to the first team. They were senior keeper Ryan Buerman, senior forward Warner Beyer, senior midfielder Ruben De Gaspari and junior defender Cooper Boucher.
Sophomore forward Grayson Swedberg and junior midfielder Anderson Schmidt earned second team honors.
Volleyball
The volleyball team advanced to the state tournament for the first time since 1988. Juniors Natalie Bystol and Leah Nordin earned first team honors.
Honorable mention status was earned by senior libero Teagen Thompson, senior setter Amelia Klement and senior Gracie Buss.
Golf
Sophia Eggert was named Bay Conference Golfer of the Year. She was named to the first team along with Lily Glysch. Maddie Moesch and Del Kunze were named to the second team.
Bonduel’s Morgan Staszak earned honorable mention status.
Swimming
Wittenberg-Birnamwood swimmers collected several honors.
Sophomore Kelsie Davis was named Bay Conference Swimmer of the Year.
Freshman Brooklyn Beran, junior Reese Dickman, Davis and senior Faith Resch earned first team honors for the 200-yard medley relay and for the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Resch was named to the firs team in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle, as was Davis is the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke.
Dickman was name to the second team for the 100-yard breaststroke.
Beran earned honorable mention status in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke, while Dickman was recognized for the 50-yard freestyle.
