Rose M. Tonn

Rose “Jackie” M. Tonn, 83, of Bonduel, passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 30, 2015, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born April 13, 1932, daughter of the late Fred and Armeda (Ruelle) Simon. On Aug. 14, 1954, she was united in marriage to James R. Tonn. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1966. Jackie was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Leeman, for over 60 years. She was in food service her entire life working at the Navarino Ski Hill, Navarino and Bonduel school districts and The Gathering in Shawano. She enjoyed music, dancing, baking hundreds of cakes, picking strawberries at Porter’s Patch and jam making for her family. She is survived by her children, Vickie (Kenneth) Gehrt, Clintonville, Terry Tonn, Shawano, Connie (Larry) Leitzke, Bonduel, Cindy Krull, Black Creek, Tammy (David) Krull, Shiocton, and Rodney (Deanne) Tonn, Bonduel; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special family friend, Kim Gosz; one brother, Clarence “Butch” Simon, Mountain; two sisters, Darlene (Paul) Forester, Menasha, and Nancy (Lawrence) Meulemans, Nichols; sister-in-law, Fern Echtner, Navarino; lifelong friends, Phyllis Christiansen and Nancy Carpenter. Rose is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley and Armeda, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Trinity United Church of Christ from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m., with Pastor Marty Black officiating.
