Ronald N. Christensen

Ronald N. Christensen, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2023. Ron was born in the Town of Bagley and graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1955 and attended the UW-Extension in Green Bay. He served two years in the Army, and had a long career in construction steel as a draftsman, sales estimator, and board of directors of the Green Bay Builders Exchange. Ron married his wife Karen in 1962, and together they built their life. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at his beloved Stonywood where he gardened, fished, worked in the woods, and played many card games. Ron was friendly to everyone he met and had a great sense of humor. An active member of St. Agnes Parish, Ron served in many roles including choir member, parish council member, communion distributor, and served as co-president of the parish council. Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife of over 60 years, Karen (Behringer); his four children, Timothy (Cherie), Thomas (Kimberly), Brenda (Brian) Pluger, and Susan (Carl) Fischer; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his sisters, Valerie Allen and Imogene (Von) Solberg; his stepsister, Mary Abel; and his brothers-in-law Gene Behringer and Dale (Mary) Behringer. A visitation at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, May 18 with a funeral mass at 11. Officiating at the Mass of Christian burial will be the Rev. Patrick Beno. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Spruce at a later time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
