Panthers boys, girls win county meet

Oconto Falls High School won both the boys and girls portions of the Oconto County Meet held Monday at Oconto High School. The Panther boys placed first in 11 of 18 events, including two victories from seniors Mike Friedman (800-meter run, 1,600) and Jacob Yatso (100, triple jump). Oconto Falls swept all four relay events. Gillett senior Matt Peterson also won two events, the 110 and 300 hurdles. The Oconto Falls girls also claimed 11 firsts, including two each by junior Bailey Wolf (800, 1,600) and Diane Moore (100 and 300 hurdles). Like the boys, the Panthers girls swept all four relay events. Junior Az VanBellinger won the 200 and 400 for Suring.
