Oconto Falls police officers, an Oconto County sheriff’s deputy and a probation and parole agent made 10 surprise visits to homes May 15 to check if individuals were complying with the conditions of their probation. Three men, ages 40, 45 and 52, and one woman, 26, were taken into custody for probation violations. Law enforcement officers also visited four bars in Oconto Falls but did not locate anyone violating their probation. In addition, no underage drinkers were found.
Oconto Falls Elementary School officials reported on May 16 a fight occurred between two boys, ages 10 and 11, earlier in the week.
Construction message boards were tampered with May 17 at East Highland Drive and North Main Street and at Union Avenue and South Washington Street. Someone accessed the control box, which was unlocked, and changed the messages. A construction barricade was tipped over and placed in the traffic lane on South Adams Street and Union Avenue.
