• Katlyn C. Fish, 20, Oconto, waived her right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of child neglect in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 25. She filed a request for a change of judge, and the new judge will schedule the next hearing.
Proceedings of May 2
• Joshua Michael Peters, 35, Marinette, pleaded guilty to three counts of battery or threat to a law officer and battery to a nurse, in connection with an incident that occurred May 16, 2021. Judge Michael Judge withheld sentencing and placed Peters on three years of probation with conditions including one year in jail with Huber work-release and good time privileges. He was given credit for 126 days already served.
• A two-day jury trial beginning July 31 was scheduled for Edward Alexander Lewis, 51, Oconto Falls, who faces charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, bail jumping, maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 7, 2023. Judge granted a defense motion to reduce bail to $5,000 cash and scheduled a final pre-trial conference for July 29.
• Bond was set at $650 cash for Fritz George Roberts, 32, Oconto, after he was charged with child abuse recklessly causing harm, child neglect and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 12. Judge Jay Conley adjourned his initial appearance until June 13.
Proceedings of April 30
• Nathan R. Neldner, 31, an Oconto Falls serving time at Oshkosh Correctional Institution, was sentenced to an additional five years in prison, followed by five years of extended supervision for burglary and three counts of theft in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 27, 2021, as well as a charge of felony bail jumping in connection with an incident that occurred June 4, 2022. Judge ordered that Neldner pay restitution and surcharges of $41,213.77 payable to the victims.
• Maurice Allen Olson Sr., 34, Suring, was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for fleeing an officer in his vehicle, possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and a misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 6. Judge gave him credit for 85 days already served in the Oconto County Jail.
