The 11th annual Oconto County Historical Society Art Show features the work of returning artists and first-time exhibitors at the Beyer Home Museum Complex, 917 Park Ave., Oconto.
The show ends on Sunday, Aug. 10.
Donna Baird is exhibiting quilts at the show. She is involved with a group that quilts at Oconto City Hall each month and also works closely with New View Industries for the Barn Quilts of Oconto County project. One of her quilts on display shows the first 12 barn quilt designs.
Jim Heroux has displayed his work at the OCHS Art Show for several years. He grew up in Oconto and lives in Sioux City, South Dakota. His mother and sister live in Oconto. His artwork has been featured at the Eastbank Gallery in Sioux Falls. He uses a variety of media and a range of subjects. This year he is exhibiting two watercolors.
Bruce Retzlaff is exhibiting two oil paintings again this year, along with a colored drawing of the Stanley Toy surrey in the ongoing Stanley Toy exhibit created by his brother, Dave Retzlaff.
First-time exhibitor Stu Anderson, a retired Oconto Falls physical education teacher, is exhibiting a painting of hole seven at River Island Golf Course which reflects his love of golf and art. Anderson uses pencils, watercolors and oils to create his works.
Pam Stevens is another newcomer to the OCHS Art Show. She is exhibiting a colored pencil drawing and an oil painting.
The OCHS invites visitors to tour the museum and enjoy the artwork shared by Oconto County artists. The Beyer Home Museum hours are noon to 4 p.m. daily.
Admission to the art show is free; museum tours cost $4.
