John F. Knoke Sr.

John F. Knoke Sr., age 90, of Waupaca, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 6, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born July 3, 1931, in Shawano, son of Herman and Lucy (Lotharius) Knoke. When John was only 12 years old, he came by train to Waupaca for the first time to work on a potato farm east of town, which is when he first came to love the area. John served in the U.S.
Peggy A. Olson
Peggy A. Olson, 90, of Birnamwood, died on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Peggy was born on Sept. 8, 1931, in Wabeno, the daughter of George and Bernette (Mischo) Carlson. On June 19, 1954, Peggy was united in marriage to Warren Olson in Antigo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2020. Peggy was a graduate of the Stevens Point Normal School. She taught for several area schools for many years retiring at the age of 79.
Mary A. Langhoff
Mary A. Langhoff, 72, of Gillett, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Mary was born on Aug. 21, 1949, to the late Harvey and Rosalie (VanCaster) Bahrke. She graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1967. On Sept. 9, 1967, Mary married Kenneth Langhoff at St. Michael Catholic Church in Suring. The couple lived in Gillett and Oconto Falls before Ken joined the Air Force in 1969.
Roger L. Hanson
Roger L. Hanson, 89, of Wittenberg, died on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Compassus House of Dove in Marshfield. Roger was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Wittenberg, to Carl and Pearl (Sickler) Hanson. Roger graduated high school from Wittenberg High School in 1951 and received a degree in industrial arts from UW-Stout in 1955, where he was president of the student council. John D. Lehman
John D. Lehman, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Kaukauna, son of George and Esther (Reidy) Lehman. John attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. Every important moment in his life has roots at Holy Cross, including his baptism, first communion, confirmation, marriage and, now, his funeral liturgy. He graduated from Kaukauna High School, Class of 1954, then served in the U.S. Navy.
Joyce R. Kroening
Joyce R. Kroening, 91, of Stevens Point, formerly of Marion, passed away Saturday evening, June 4, 2022, at North Haven Assisted Living in Stevens Point, under the care of Heartland Hospice. Joyce Sawall was born March 14, 1931, in the Town of Bear Creek as the daughter of the late Alvin and Rosetta (Roehl) Sawall. She grew up in the Bear Creek area and graduated from Clintonville High School. Joyce was united in marriage to Alex Kroening Jr.

Charlotte M. Christensen, 87, of Gillett, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, with family and her dog, Lacy, by her side. Charlotte was born on Sept. 30, 1934, to the late Arno and Emma (Pethke) Free in Underhill.
