Local home sales down in January, while increasing statewide

Wisconsin’s existing home sales jumped 7.4% in January, but sales in Shawano and Oconto counties were down, according to the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) January 2024 Wisconsin Real Estate Report. M&O all-conference athletes named

Jesse DeBauch, of Gillett, was selected as the most outstanding player for the Marinette & Oconto Conference boys basketball all-conference team. The Gillett High School junior was joined by teammate Aydin Franti, a senior, on the all-conference first team, Franti was chosen as one of two co-defensive players as well. Learn to Hunt Bear program seeks applicants, instructors

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and conservation partners encourage novice and experienced bear hunters to join the Learn to Hunt Bear program as participants and instructors. The program provides a unique learning opportunity and outdoor experience for novice hunters who otherwise need a pathway to hunting bears. The program includes multiple classroom and field sessions, culminating with a bear-hunting excursion.
