Karen L. Carroll, 53, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at her home. Karen was born on March 2, 1961, in Milwaukee to James Matz and Mary Anderson.
After graduation, Karen moved to Shawano. She loved sewing, flower gardening and was a Packers fan. Karen was a wonderful cook.
Karen is survived by her fiance, Preston Waupoose, of Shawano; her children, Courtney and Casey Carroll, of Shawano, and their father, Bruce Carroll; four grandchildren, Jaden, Nevaeh, LeAnthony and Brynlee; her parents, James Matz and Mary Anderson; her sisters, Kathy Jacobs, of New London, Diane Lemke, of Birnamwood, and Sharon (Mitch) Brabender, of Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Dave Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Menominee.
