CROSS-COUNTRY Hawks’ boys ninth at Seymour The Shawano boys finished ninth overall and third among Division 2 schools Thursday at the Seymour Invitational at Crystal Springs Golf Course. The boys were led by Jake Klister, who finished 12th overall with a time of 16:54. He was followed by Austin Lhotka (20, 17:02), Andrew Cardish (71, 18:06), Chase Lhotka (72, 18:07) and Chandlar Fairbairn (93, 18:22). The Shawano girls finished 23rd overall, led by Kristy Kurtz (76, 21:16) and Teagan Monfils (91, 21:38). The Clintonville girls finished 15th overall, led by Allison Johnson (8, 19:21) and Jessica Petruzates (20, 19:55). Bears boys second at Don Chase The Bonduel boys cross-country team took second and the girls took sixth Thursday at the Don Chase Relays at Weyauwega-Fremont. The boys finished with a team score of 66, led by Sam Falck’s third-place finish in 17:21. Travis Wollenberg was sixth with a time of 17:52. The Bonduel girls finished sixth, led by Anna Palmer (14, 21:36) and Ashlyn Schnell (25, 22:29). The Wittenberg-Birnamwood girls won the race with a team score of 49. Emily Norrbom (6, 20:37), Alexis Balliett (7, 20:50) and Paige Norrbom (8, 21:09) all finished together. The Wittenberg-Birnamwood boys finished third, led by Riley Bohlman (9, 18:01).
