Helen L. Smarzewski, 74, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015, at her home.
Helen was born on April 22, 1941, in Daggett, Michigan, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ellen (Carlson) Johnson. Helen was united in marriage to Stanley Smarzewski on July 28, 1984, in Appleton and lived her entire married life in Shawano.
Helen is survived by her husband, Stanley; her daughter, Lydia (Wesley) Welch, of Coleman; stepchildren, JoAnn, Cindy (Carl), John, Stanley, Denise (Carl) and Cheri; two grandchildren, Sheldon and Cody (Cheyenne Cameron) Welch; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Beverly Golden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Melinda Shriner officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
