The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program offers eligible low-income seniors the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs from certified farmers by providing $25 in vouchers per household.
Participants must be Shawano County residents, 60 or older, or Native American 55 or older, and have a monthly household income of $1,815 or less for one person or $2,456 for two people.
Vouchers will be distributed at the following locations:
- Birnamwood Maple View Apartments, 434 Main St., 10:30-11:30 a.m. June 1.
- Wittenberg Senior Center, 208 W. Vinal St., 12-2 p.m. June 1.
- Bonduel Hillside Apartments, 100 N. Washington St., 11:30-12:30 p.m. June 2.
- Shawano Civic Center, 225 S. Main St., 10:30 a.m. to noon June 4.
- Tigerton Community Center, 221 Birch St., 10:45-11:45 a.m. June 4.
- Tigerton Riverview Apartments, 124 Spaulding St., 11:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 4.
- Stockbridge-Munsee Elderly Center, N8651 Maplewood St., Bowler, 9-10:30 a.m. June 5.
- Gresham Towerview Apartments, 1100 Park St., 10:30-11:30 a.m. June 10.
If you are homebound or unable to get to the site, you may send a signed statement with your authorized representative.
