Linda I. Bohm, 93, of the town of Richmond, passed away Monday afternoon, Aug. 10, 2015, at Kindred Hearts in Shawano.
Linda was born on July 18, 1922, in the town of Richmond, Shawano County, a daughter of the late Albert and Louise (Mansee) Wendorff. She attended country schools and later attended Shawano High School. After high school, Linda moved to Milwaukee, where she was employed as a private nanny. On Nov. 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Bohm in Menominee, Michigan. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the town of Richmond. They spent their entire married life in the Shawano area.
Linda had been employed as a clerk at various stores in Shawano. When her husband retired, the couple enjoyed travelling the Midwest. Lawrence preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1994. Linda was a good and faithful member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in the town of Richmond. She loved to play cards, sew and quilt. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed tending her flower gardens. She cherished her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving sons, Larry (Brenda) Bohm, of Bowler, David (Patti) Bohm, of the town of Richmond, and Mike Bohm, of Shawano; five grandchildren, Mark (Shelly) Bohm, Melissa (Dan) Cruz, Andrew (Melissa) Bohm, Tara (Ward Peterson) Bohm and Jake (Katie) Bohm; 11 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, Cassie, Caleb, William, Alex, Taylor, Skye, Gabriel, Hudson and Brooks; one brother-in-law, Willard (Beatrice) Bohm; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by an infant son, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Linda Bohm will be held on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church, town of Richmond. Pastor Travis Kleinschmidt will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Jakobi Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Jakobi Lutheran Church Building Fund.
