Otis E. “Tiny” Goltz, 88, Abrams, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014. He was born Nov. 10, 1925, in Oconto Falls to Adolph and Eleanor (Nass) Goltz. On Oct. 24, 1953, Tiny married Myrtle “Jean” Rueff at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Green Bay.
Tiny served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater from 1944 to 1946. He was employed for 38 years with Green Bay & Western Railroad, retiring as an engineer. Tiny also operated a farm for many years in the town of Abrams. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the Disabled American Veterans and Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abrams. Tiny loved to travel, read and tinker on tractors or anything mechanical.
Tiny is survived by three children, Terri and Brian Gullickson, Abrams, Peter and Sue Goltz, Green Bay, and Jocie and David Bliss, Abrams; grandchildren, Katrina (her fiance, John) and Emily Bliss, Elliot and Adam Bliss, and David Kubichka and his fiancee, Krystal; great-grandchildren, Marley and Karma; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Rachel Goltz, Oconto; sister-in-law, June Goltz, Green Bay; brother-in-law, Jim Champeau, Green Bay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle; son, Gary; his parents; two brothers, William and David; sisters, Caroline Beach and Clara “Mickey” Champeau; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
Visitation was held at Blaney Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 18. The funeral service was held Friday, Sept. 19, at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abrams. Burial was in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
