A ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday marked the grand reopening of the Associated Bank branch in Oconto Falls.
The ceremony and open house celebrated the completion of extensive interior and exterior remodeling and enhancements to ATM technology at the bank, 134 Main St.
According to project supervisor Steve Cherney, of Findorff, the exterior upgrade included the replacement of the soffit and fascia, addition of a new Associated Bank sign, and glass doors with an automatic opener.
An enhanced ATM that can be accessed from Main Street allows for the deposit of cash and checks, not just the withdrawal of funds.
The interior of the bank was completely renovated, creating more private offices, a hospitality station, check-writing station and a feature wall with digital marketing board. The front and back teller lines were redone, and the office has new furniture and new tile flooring in the lobby.
The renovations were completed in two phases, so customer service was uninterrupted during the construction period, which began in June.
Bank manager Janet Reis said the updates enhance the look of the downtown business, and she looks forward to other revitalization projects on Main Street.
A state Highway 22 reconstruction project, which began in August and continues in 2015 will result in a fresh look and smooth roadway for the Main Street business district.
