Health education event happening at St. Clare

The public is invited to a free evening of fun, relaxation and health education at Beauty and the Beasts from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital, 855 S. Main St., Oconto Falls. Beauty and the Beasts is an annual event that offers free health and wellness information, wine, beer, dessert, cheese and chili tastings, pampering stations for hand and chair massages, free health and wellness information and special sales in the hospital’s gift shop. Guests can also take advantage of two health presentations offered in the dining room. At 4:30 p.m., nurse practitioner June Peters will present “PAP Smears, Are They Really Needed?” At 5:30 p.m., Dr. Gregory Peyer, orthopedic surgeon for the Prevea Regional Orthopedic Center, will present “Shoulder Pain and Injuries: What Can be Done?” Breast health experts will provide tours of the hospital’s digital mammography suites and explain what it means to get same-day results at HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital.
