FSA to host meetings about coverage programs

The Oconto-Marinette Farm Service Agency office will hold three meetings about the Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs. The meetings will occur at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Pound Town Hall, W8484 County Road B, Coleman; 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Gillett Area Ambulance Building, 225 W. Park St., Gillett; and 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Lena Village Hall, 117 E. Main St., Lena. According to Nancy Swenty, FSA county executive director, it is extremely important for producers to learn about ARC and PLC before making a one-time decision for base and yield updates, as well as ARC or PLC election and enrollment decisions. Producers will have the option to preregister for the meeting of their choice. Producers who preregister will have their farm operation’s information available for them at the meeting.
