Figures for Women Total Wellness, formerly Figures for Women, at 5876 Main St., Abrams, is under new management. The business with a focus on women’s health is managed by Betsy Markiewicz.
“There is no quick fix to health or weight loss. Every woman has her own story to tell,” said Markiewicz, who has researched health and holistic nutrition for years due to her own health issues. With the help of a friend who is a holistic nutritionist and health coach, she realized she wanted to do the same.
“I personally understand that all women are unique in our own way, as we all have different issues to address,” Markiewicz said. “My goal is to help you get to the source of your problem and find what will work for you.”
Markiewicz is in the process of being certified in holistic nutrition and personal training.
Figures for Women Total Wellness is a fitness center that offers strength training with various weight and cardio machines. The Total Wellness program combines nutritional health with a strengthening program to get the best results for increasing energy and reducing internal inflammation and stress. Confidential, one-to-one support is available for those who request it.
“We are all guilty of taking care of our families and others first and our own health last,” Markiewicz said. “We need to remember if we aren’t feeling well, we aren’t going to be able to give others a positive 100 percent either. Some women need to heal or change what’s going on inside before they see the results they are seeking on the outside.”

An open house will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday, Nov. 15, featuring drawings and give-aways. Participating in the open house are Health, Happiness and Whole Foods, Essential Oils by DoTerra, Masterpiece Nutrition and Skin Care, and Lemongrass Spa products.
