Lynn Jones and Kay Rankel, Barn Quilts of Oconto County coordinators, presented a certificate of appreciation to the Oconto Electric Cooperative board of directors in appreciation of its support of the quilt project. OEC donates the use of its equipment, and the linemen donate their time to install the quilts for this countywide community project which was launched in April 2013.
Barn Quilts of Oconto County received statewide attention in the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative newsletter, as well as national attention when it was featured in the October/November issue of Country magazine.
There are 22 barn quilts installed around Oconto County as part of this project.
