David Henry Redinger, 91, of Lakewood, passed into his Lord’s presence on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, from Woodland Village, Suring.
David was born to Henry A. and Dorothy (Seng) Redinger at Akron, Michigan, on Nov. 16, 1923. He attended schools in Chicago, Illinois, and worked there and in Florida, where his father owned an orange grove.
He met and married June Steele on Nov. 6, 1943, in Chicago. They moved to Lakewood in 1945 and raised their three children on their family farms.
David was a member of the Northwoods Bible Fellowship Church, Lakewood, and was music leader for years.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan L. Mina, of Lakewood, and Donna (Scott) Olson, of Brookfield; four grandchildren, Judy (Craig) Moen, Farmington, Minnesota, Jennifer (Matt) Mc Kown, Arlington Heights, Illinois, David Frank Redinger and Julie (Jonathan) Schuler, Milwaukee; four great-grandchildren, Kiran and Cassidy Mc Kown, Asa Moen and Audrey Schuler; brothers, Bobby, of North Carolina, and Wally, of Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; son, David A. Redinger and wife, June; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leola (Lou) Mills, Dorothy (Charles) Joseph, Lydia (Dem) Steves; brother and sister-in-law Henry (Lois) Redinger.
Visitation will take place at Northwoods Bible Fellowship Church, Lakewood, on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. until services at 2 p.m., with Pastor Scott Vanlaanen officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Forest Cemetery.
