Michele M. Macha

Michele M. Macha, 50, of Lena, passed away Feb. 6, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Born on Feb. 20, 1964, daughter of Cheri (Pardo) Hueckstaedt and the late Orville Wyent, she married Brian Macha on Oct. 3, 1993. Michele was the former owner/operator of the Electric Jungle Salon and Tanning at Kelly Lake and was the creator of Electric Jungle Horses. She was a well-known bartender at the Round Roof at Kelly Lake. Michele’s passion was horses. She was a trainer, farrier and a winner of many state and national awards. She was a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association and former member of the World Pro Rodeo Association, National Barrel Horse Association and the International Barrel Racing Association. Michele is survived by her husband, Brian; two sons, Cole (Amanda) Slatky, of Oconto Falls, and Kye Darby, of Kelly Lake; her mother, Cheri (Bob) Hueckstaedt; four sisters, Mistine (Kevin) Thomson, Chaunee Kirk-Sprewer, Tiara Cohen and Echo Hueckstaedt. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Mason Slatky, Danielle and Austin Darby; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Earl and Nancy Macha. Family received friends on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home, 331 S. Ellis Ave., Peshtigo, from 3-8 p.m.
