The Oconto County University of Wisconsin-Extension Parent Resource Center will offer an infant massage workshop in Oconto Falls. The two-part workshop will take place from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, May 19 and May 21, at Oconto Falls Elementary School.
Parents, adult caregivers and babies (1 to 18 months old) are invited to register for this free program.
Parents will be taught massage techniques that help parent and baby establish a closer bond.
“Massage is a wonderful way to encourage early bonding of parent and infant,” instructor Julie Raasch said, “and is very helpful in relieving colic and other infant stress symptoms.”
Raasch, an Extension healthy babies support worker, is certified with the International Association of Infant Massage.
For more information or to register, contact Barb Truttman at 920-834-7006 or barb.truttman@ces.uwex.edu, or visit oconto.uwex.edu.
A limited number of registrations will be accepted. Free child care will be provided for siblings.
