Stanislaus E. Gerbyshak, 40, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015, in St. Germain. He was born on May 20, 1975.
Stan worked at Fort Howard Paper Co. in Green Bay, Cruisers Boat Co. in Oconto and at KSU in Marinette. He moved to St. Germain and worked as a carpenter and at Elmer’s Fun Park on the car track.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth Gerbyshak, of Oconto Falls, and Joan Nowak (formerly Rohner), of St. Germain; two brothers, Stephen (Camille), of Krakow, Samuel (Aliza), of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; a sister, Lydia Gerbyshak, of Green Bay; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Anna, of Crivitz; maternal grandparents, Edward and Marilyn Nowak, of Crivitz; and cousins Gregory, Charles, Franklin and Joseph Nowak.
Stan loved to go fishing and hunting with his dad, brother and uncles. Stan had a very special place in his heart for his sister, Lydia, and niece, Anna.
Sunday night, July 5, was visitation and a prayer service. Monday, July 6, visitation was at 9 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fredrick Sserugga officiated, with burial at Crivitz Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established at First National Bank of Eagle River, 400 E. Wall St., P.O. Box 1209, Eagle River, WI 54521 for Stan Gerbyshak.
