The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting to discuss design concepts for a proposed reconditioning of state Highway 22 from Highland Drive to U.S. Highway 141. The project is anticipated to be constructed in 2017.
The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Oconto Falls High School, 210 North Farm Road. A presentation will be made at 5:15 p.m.
The project includes an overlay of the pavement, upgraded intersections at County Road I/Fireside Road, Larson Lane and Younger Road, new curb and gutter, bicycle accommodations, and two new box culvert structures. Highway 22 will remain open to local traffic only; through traffic will be detoured.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to review and discuss the proposed improvements. WisDOT staff will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis and obtain public input.
