Twelve76, the new fine-dining restaurant located in the former Dixon’s Torchlight building at 1276 E. Green Bay St., is expected to open by the end of the month.
A meal for family and friends of owners Domenic and Sal Badalamenti was held early last week, and a soft opening for a limited number of customers was held during the middle and end of the week.
“Our vision for Twelve76 is to offer a welcoming dining experience featuring hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, imported Sicilian pasta and thoughtfully prepared dishes for every guest to enjoy,” according to the social media post. “While we don’t have dry-aged steaks available just yet, they are coming soon.”
Also, the salad bar is included with all entrée purchases.
The restaurant’s menu was released via its Facebook page.
Appetizers include a Caesar salad, East Coast crab cakes, cheese curds, flatbread burrata, aracine, steak crostini, bang-bang pow shrimp and hand-breaded mozzarella.
Steak and chops include prime rib, New York strip, Wisconsin Wagyu tenderloin, ribeye, top sirloin, a double smash burger, pork steak and pork chop.
For entrées, there is pan-fried walleye, broiled lobster, pan-seared scallops, blackened Chilean sea bass, Tuscan seafood, chicken burrata, Roman mac, grilled salmon, wild mushroom ravioli and shrimp noodles.
Two brothers and their wives, Sal and Josie Badalamenti and Domenic and Fara Badalamenti, came to Shawano in 1995 from the small village of Cinisi, Sicily, via a stop in New Jersey to run a pizza restaurant.
Their first venture, Luigi’s Pizza & Pasta, recently marked its 30-year anniversary.
